GEM’s Dedication to “Green Products”
Our “management systems” have received certificates granted by international certifying bodies in accordance with the growing world trend of CSR “corporate social responsibility” and the environmental regulations issued by RoHS, WEEE, REACH, etc. In addition, we carry out inspections and checks with instruments in our operation procedure. ERP (enterprise resource planning) system is applied to retrieve and analyze data and produce figures and documents to facilitate our clients’ validation process. Both economic profits and the benefits of our clients and international society are taken into account.

W E E E Recycle Definition |
Reuse means any operation by which WEEE or components thereof are used for the same purpose for which they were conceived, including the continued use of the equipment or components thereof which are returned to collection points, distributors, recyclers or manufacturers.
|
|
| Recycling means the reprocessing in a production process of the waste materials for the original purpose or for other purposes, but excluding energy recovery which means the use of combustible waste as a means of generating energy through direct incineration with or without other waste but with recovery of the heat. |
 |
Recovery means any of the applicable operations provided for in Annex IIB to Directive 75/442/EEC, i.e.:
R1 : Use principally as a fuel or other means to generate energy
R2 : Solvent reclamation/regeneration
R3 : Recycling/reclamation of organic substances which are not used as solvents ( including composting and other biological transformation processes)
R4 : Recycling/reclamation of metals and metal compounds
R5 : Recycling/reclamation of other inorganic materials
R6 : Regeneration of acids or bases
R7 : Recovery of components used for pollution abatement
R8 : Recovery of components from catalysts
R9 : Oil re-refining or other reuses of oil
R10 : Land treatment resulting in benefit to agriculture or ecological improvement
R11 : Use of wastes obtained from any of the operations numbered R 1 to R 10
R12 : Exchange of wastes for submission to any of the operations numbered R 1 to R 11
R13 : Storage of wastes pending any of the operations numbered R 1 to R 12 (excluding temporarystorage, pending collection, on the site where it is produced
